Now, this is a story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down…

Just kidding but now that I have your attention.

Hi, I’m Pearl Ivy, I’m a London-based Artist and Designer. From a young age, I have always had a love and passion for art. I loved that I was able to express myself and there were no limitations or wrong or right answers. The Pop Art movement has had a major impact on my work, as I love bold abstract colours, pop culture, and people.

My signature style

One of my most frequently asked questions is

“What are the black and white lines?”. The black and white lines, which I call highlights are to highlight the areas of the face and body of the figure.

I created the style with no intentions, I first used the style in my illustration series called #BeyondTheGirl, which featured all my favourite girl bands I listened to growing up in the 90s/00s TLC and Spice Girls to name a few. I continued to incorporate the style and it has now become a distinctive feature in my artwork.
